Parking

Picture
It would be an understatement to say that parking is difficult in Woods Hole.  Public spaces are limited and metered.  You must plan accordingly.

Here are some of our tips:

1)  Parking is free at the Falmouth Walmart and on Main Street, Falmouth.  Park there and take the WHOOSH Trolley.  The Trolley leaves Walmart every half hour on the 35's and 5's.  It travels down Main Street and around the bus station.  You can just wave it down, hop on, pay your fare and your on the way.  $2.00 for adults, $1.00 for children. Tell the driver you are going to OceanQuest and he'll direct you to us. A link is at the bottom of the page.

2)  Come early!  Many folks have missed their schedule cruise because they were waiting for the drawbridge or looking for a parking space.  Please allow plenty of time to park, find us and get ready for the cruise.  If you are taking the trolley you should catch the one an hour before your trip.  That gets you into Woods Hole about 20 minutes before your trip.

3)  Bring Quarters!  The meters only accept 8 quarters(that's 2 hours), you can feed the meter if you like but it is difficult to find some down here in Woods Hole.  The meters ONLY take quarters, no dimes or nickels.  We often have some stocked but we do run out.  If you are parked within sight of our ticket booth we will feed the meter for you while you are on a cruise.  The Police Officer is vigilant.

Bathrooms

You've driven for 30 minutes and started the trip with apple juice and a banana.  We all know the drill.
The public bathrooms in Woods Hole exist in the following places:
1) Steamship Authority
2) Woods Hole Exhibit Center
3) Woods Hole Market
4) NMF Aquarium
Those are the only public restrooms available in Woods Hole.  The closest one to OceanQuest is the Woods Hole Market.

We have heads on the vessel and we are happy to let you use them but it is not always convenient to get on and off
        between cruises.
